S1 E3 Better Living Meditations - The Power of Gratitude. In this meditation, we’ll introduce the power of gratitude. Robert A Emmons, Professor of psychology at UC Davis, and author of “Thanks” and “Gratitude Works”, has studied gratitude for the past decade. His studies demonstrate that thoughtful curation or as he metaphorically refers to it as ‘growing gratitude’, reduces blood pressure, improves immune function, and promotes happiness and well-being. It’s also been found that gratitude spurs spontaneous acts of helpfulness, generosity and cooperation. Pairing a focus on gratitude with your meditation builds a strong foundation.
